Our Story
When I was a freshman in college, all my friends were switching majors. Some twice. Some three times. Each switch cost $10,000 and a semester of their lives.
I did some research and learned that 75% of students change their major before graduating. Only 19% graduate on time. And only 13% of professionals say they love their jobs.
The problem wasn't intelligence or effort. It was exposure. Students were making life-defining career decisions based on brochures, salary charts, and the opinions of adults who hadn't worked in those fields for decades.
What if students could experiencea career before committing to it? What if they could shadow a nurse for a day, tour a construction site, sit in on a creative agency's strategy session — and actually feel what the work is like?
That's why we built Observe.
Observe connects students with real professionals who open their workplaces for career shadowing experiences. In 4 hours, a student learns more about a career than 4 years of lectures could teach them.
We believe everyone deserves to find work they love. Not just work that pays the bills — work that aligns with their values, feeds their curiosity, and contributes to something bigger than themselves.
Our mission: help more people find careers they love, because the world works better when people love what they do.
